Hunter Douglas Roman Shade Options

Hunter Douglas offers several options for Roman shades. Each achieves a slightly different look and feel. The following is a basic overview of each to help you with selecting the right Hunter Douglas roman shade options for your MA home.

Vignette® Modern Roman Shades

For a soft and clean look, consider Vignette Modern Roman Shades. The cords are hidden on these shades, making them both visually appealing and child safe. Additionally, the layers gently fold over one another. They are offered in both sheer and solid fabrics. Depending on your preference, the folds can be either 4″ or 6″ apart. Lastly, there are two options for when they are rolled up. They can either roll up into the head rail or stack neatly beneath it.

Solera® Soft Shades

Solera Soft Shades are a cellular shade design. Because of the air pocket created within the cellular design, they create a buffer between air inside of your home and that coming in through the glass window. Thus, they offer energy efficiency. When rolled up, these shades compress neatly at the top of the window. Although traditionally seen in the color white, they are actually available in many shades and fabrics.

Design Studio Roman™ Shades

The final type of Roman Shades to consider are what Hunter Douglas calls Design Studio Roman Shades. These are also known as the traditional roman shade style and include several options. They can be primarily flat and compress from the bottom when rolled up, have horizontal lines with battens in either the front or back, or have a hobbled design (with gentle folds similar to the Solera shades).
