10 Quick Organizing Projects to Feel Accomplished
As we approach back to school and haven’t been home all summer, sometimes we need to tackle small projects to help us get back on track. Here are few things ways to start
1- File Paperwork– As mail comes in, do you let it stack up or organize immediately? Do you trash what you don’t need, have a bill pay spot and then things to be files? Filing those papers can give you a feeling of accomplishment and help clean out your kitchen counters or clutter.
2- Car Clean Out– Cars can become a dumping ground for the entire family. Take a few minutes to clean out trash, glove compartment and trunk. If you have time nothing is better than a freshly vacuumed car.
3- Purse Clean Out– Take out older receipts and empty lip gloss. Put your change in a container to cash in after its full.
4- Check Your Fridge– Pick one shelf a day if you don’t have time, but after summer vacations and long weekends your fridge isn’t used as often as the school year. Check expiration dates, moldy vegetables and old take-out boxes. Whip down the shelves and do a good food shopping to restock for back to school.
5- Rapid Fire Organization– Pick a drawer or cabinet each day that you can go through and throw things away or donate what you don’t need.
6- Clean out food storage container drawer– Match the lids to bottoms and throw away anything that doesn’t match
7- Clean your Nightstand- this small space doesn’t take long to organize jewelry, toilettries or water glasses that accumulate over time.
8- Bookshelf Clean Up- Put books away, return library books and find new homes for books you already read.
9- Organize your phone- Waiting for an appt or kids sports to start, is a good time to go through your phone. Delete old contacts, duplicate photos or old apps.
10- Sock Drawer- If your laundry is all clean, take that time to throw away or match all the lonely socks around the house.
